A SIXTH police officer has been served with a misconduct notice over a probe into the murder of pregnant teenager Jayden Parkinson.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) confirmed yesterday morning (Wednesday) that another police constable from Thames Valley Police is being investigated.
Three sergeants and two other PCs are already being probed, with the enquiry focusing on officers’ actions between December 4 to December 12, when Jayden’s ex-boyfriend Ben Blakeley, of Christchurch Road in Reading, was arrested for murder.
Jayden’s body was found in the grave of Blakeley’s dead uncle, Alan Kennedy, in the churchyard of All Saints Church, Didcot, on December 18 last year, two weeks after she went missing.
Blakeley, 22, admitted manslaughter but denied murdering 17-year-old Jayden near remote woodland on December 3.
He was found guilty by a jury and sentenced to life in prison, with a minimum term of 20 years, at Oxford Crown Court in July.
