A MAN was taken to hospital with head, neck and chest injuries after his car careered into a street sign in Arborfield this morning.
Firefighters from Whitley Wood and Wokingham Road were called out by the ambulance services at 11am and spent an hour cutting the driver out of his blue Citroen C2.
An air ambulance was called out to the scene, but the man was taken to hospital by road ambulance.
Wokingham Road crew manager Mark Crawford said: βHe was in and out of consciousness when we were there but the ambulance services were quite happy with his condition so we cut him out slowly and carefully.β
