When restaurants in Reading are found to be lax in their hygiene standards, their names are published for all to see, and yet when three Reading bars are found to have bacteria in their ice-making machines, their names are protected (Chronicle, 'Mould in bars' ice cubes', October 7).
Why the double standards?
For the last 15 years I have insisted on no ice in my drinks, just because I am concerned about the possibility of bacteria in the ice.
