A gang of seven bullied and punched a 16-year-old boy in Thatcham before fleeing police.

The group of five males and two females left their "rather nice bike" behind when they fled from the incident on Sunday.

Thatcham Neighbourhood officer PC Ferrie attended Pound Lane and seized the bike, which has still not been collected.

The force posted on Facebook: "The group fled before police arrived but one left his rather nice bike behind."

A youth involved has been spoken to and has now been referred to the Youth Offending Team by Thames Valley Police.

The bike is at Newbury Police Station and PC Ferrie is happy to speak to the owner and his parents if they would like to attend to collect it, police said.
