READING BOROUGH COUNCIL
THE BOROUGH OF READING (THE FORBURY. READING (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2020
Reading Borough Council intends to make an Order in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, that the length of The Forbury outside No. 1 Forbury Square will be closed to all traffic and that the bus lane restriction on The Forbury outside St Laurence Church will be suspended.
The Order is required from 19 September 2020 until 20 September 2020. In the event, that the works take longer than expected, the Order will remain in operation for 18 months. The Order is necessary to allow for a crane to be placed on the highway to lift air handling units.
A signed diversion route will be in place for the
duration of the order.
