Pay your respects to campaigning cancer victim Joan Hughes via our online condolence book. Along with her family, Joan, 66, campaigned for her to receive life-prolonging drug Sunitinib on the NHS. The drug was successful and Joan’s kidney and lung cancer went into remission, but it stopped having a positive effect towards the end of last year when she learned the cancer had spread to her liver. She died at her home in Bywood, Hanworth, on Wednesday last week.
