POWERS Arthur George 29th August 1921 to 22nd August 2018 We are saddened to announce the passing of Arthur Powers, widower of Eileen Powers (nee Dew), previously of Tilehurst, Reading, residing until recently at Lord Harris Court, Sindlesham. Arthur passed away peacefully, aged 96 years, with his daughter, son and daughter-in law at his side in Royal Berks Hospital. Arthur, who had previously served in the RAF, had worked at AWRE in Aldermaston, and worked as a Research Engineer at Gillette's until his retirement at age 65. He will be much missed as a loving father, brilliant grand-father to six grandchildren and devoted great-grand-father to three great-grandchildren. Arthur's funeral will be at 1pm on 10th September at the South Chapel of Reading Crematorium.
