THE StartUp Britain bus will be visiting Broad Street next Wednesday afternoon to dispense advice to entrepreneurs.

The Routemaster bus, provided by NatWest and sponsored by Sage, Start Up Loans and Upwork, is stopping off in Reading as part of a 28-town tour around the UK.

Reading was not originally on the route, but the organisers were persuaded to stop off in the town by Louize Clarke, co-founder of Connect TVT at Green Park.

Anyone thinking about starting or growing their business can go up to the bus to get advice, help and support from experts.

Ms Clarke said: “This is a major success for the start-up and small business scene here in Reading. “It shows that as a town, we are literally back on the map when it comes to being an entrepreneurial hotspot.

“We’d urge anyone who’s thinking about starting their own business or looking to scale up their current business to come and meet us on July 29.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to get personal advice around your business as well as understand more about the wealth of support available to make your business a success.” Reading’s Broad Street between 10am and 4pm on Wednesday, July 29.

Other stops on the route include Birmingham, Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Leeds, Manchester and Nottingham.
