Reading Festival 2012
Berkshire band Attention Thieves have been announced for the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading Festival.
The alt-rock Reading four piece, who recently released EP Look A Little Closer, join up-and-coming acts including screamo-punks Max Raptor and the hotly-tipped Deaf Club on the BBC Introducing bill at the festival.
Attention Thieves' slot brings them a step closer to their ambitions of success - speaking to The Guide back in May, vocalist and guitarist Alex said: "We will not be happy or relaxed until we are a really big band. We want to be playing the major festivals and doing major tours."
The three-day festival is headlined on the main stage by The Cure, Kasabian and Foo Fighters, with Maccabees, At The Drive-In, Florence and the Machine and Paramore also playing at Little John's Farm, Reading, from Friday, August 24-Sunday August 26.
Sunday day tickets for the festival are sold out. Weekend tickets cost £197.50 plus booking fee, and day tickets £85 from www.readingfestival.com
The full BBC Introducing line-up features:
Empror & Duppy Beatz
Escape To New York
Family of the Year
Park Bench Society
