It was our departments Christmas party on Friday, and leading up to it I saw that Yates in Reading had an all time legend in the Uk Garage scene DJ'ing, The Artful Dodger!

Already knowing that Yates had just recently had a refurb, I thought what a great opportunity in checking out the new look while doing having a bit of a boogie and laugh with my colleagues.

Having called the venue to arrange a table, I was instantly pleased with the service. On arrival we we treated very well, with a friendly welcome from the door staff, and escorted to our very own booth!

I couldn't believe the transformation of the place. They now have two floors, a funky classy new look with great decor and the place was heaving! Artful Dodger's set was amazing with classic after classic being played. One of the plus sides of the gig being at Yates' was that you didn't have to wait for ages to get a drink as they had just the right amount of bar staff, who were friendly and approachable.
