Peter Pan On Ice
From the opening scene in Kensington Park and through all the main tableaux from the book - the bedroom to which Peter Pan flies in search of his shadow; Tinkerbell and the Lost Boys' encampment, the Indians in their Reserve and, of course, the Pirate Crew led by Captain Hook and his nemesis the Crocodile (in this case, a very athletic one!) - the Russian Ice Stars presented a series of thrilling and spectacular sequences.
At times it was almost impossible to watch all that was happening on the specially constructed rink at the same time as taking in the fascinating aerial sequences above the ice.
This Wild Rose production of
JM Barrie's classic gave us a plethora of exciting choreography from both principals and ensemble members dancing to Silvio Amato's specially composed score, making this a delightful evening of family entertainment. Your next chance to catch the tour in this part of the country is May 4-8 at the Wycombe Swan, High Wycombe, with prices from £15. Call 01494 512000.
