Oh what fun we had, plenty of stage invasions, stage diving and moshing. No, this was not Glastonbury. This was right here in Reading on Halloween.
Live on stage was a very special man. Neville Staple, of The Specials and Fun Boy Three, graced the stage in true Rude Boy fashion at Sub 89.
Fans were delighted to hear some of his former hits including Too Much Too Young, Ghost Town, Do The Dog and The Lunatics Are Taking Over The Asylum, and a variety of classic ska covers including Enjoy Yourself, Monkey Man and Pressure Drop. The crowd was completely spellbound - and not because it was Halloween.
A thoroughly enjoyable night filled with great memories and fans, new and old, had a ‘skatastic’ time.
If you love ska and missed this gig make sure you don’t miss Bad Manners and Max Splodge on Tuesday, December 7, at Sub 89. Tickets cost £15. www.sub89.com
