The Firestation is offering the best in family entertainment as we welcome Soap Soup Theatre with their stunning production of Little Red Riding Hood. Running until Saturday, this truly is a magical production that should not be missed! Not to mention the screening of the Oscar nominated animated film, A Cat In Paris as part of our Kids Club Cinema on Saturday (only £1 with an advantage card!).
For adults this week, we're screening The Iron Lady on Sunday and we welcome acclaimed theatre company Paines Plough to the venue on Saturday with their production of Wasted. Written by Sound of Rum star and poet, Kate Tempest, this is an evening of theatre that is set to be truly electrifying! Or for wrestling fans (and those who may remember the epic bout), we welcome a production of Big Daddy vs Giant Haystacks at the end of the month.
The big news this month is that top comedian, Michael McIntyre is visiting The Firestation in the summer season with his Work In Progress performance. With queues around the building and inundated phone lines, it's no surprise Michael sold out quickly! For those people who were not able to book tickets, do consider joining as a Firestation Member: as a member, you gain exclusive discounts, savings and a priority booking period on the majority of events - you're also some of the first to hear about big events and late inclusions!
I'd also like to extend an invitation to our members for the first Firestation Season Briefing on Tuesday. If you'd like to attend, contact the box office and reserve your space - attendees will be able to book for any event in the summer season that evening, a day before the members' priority booking period and five days before the general public!
Other announced events in the summer include the continuation of our monthly Book Swap, a screening of The Muppets, a preview performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream and a visit from Three Bonzos and a Piano! With a lot more events to be announced, including a host of Edinburgh Fringe preview performances, make sure you join our mailing list to hear about what's on as soon as it's announced!
Finally, with the Olympics coming to Windsor in August, The Firestation is offering artists from all backgrounds the opportunity to hold public events in The Firestation free of charge!
