Space encounter
A NEW exhibition will be unveiled on Tuesday at the Bank Gallery, Chobham, GU24 8AF, near Sunningdale, writes Tom Flanagan.
Four artists will be showcasing their work at the exhibition, including Lesley Melia, the gallery’s artists cooperative member, who is providing a series of vibrant acrylic paintings with the theme of space.
She said: “I have always found the subject endlessly fascinating and almost every day in the newspapers we see wonderful new images. My space series is just my interpretation in trying to capture its breathtaking beauty.”
She will be joined by Wokingham artist Jane Leighton Herd, who will be showing textural paintings as well as a sculptural 3D piece.
Ros Perton will demonstrate contemporary centerpieces, and Mary Howard-George, from Staines, will show ceramic tablewear and tea-lights.
Entry is free. Artwork will be sold, with prices starting from £5.
