Andrew O'Neill

Stand up comedian Andrew O’Neill will be performing at Newbury’s Arlington Arts Centre on Saturday at 8pm, as part of his 2010 UK tour, which started in Trowbridge.

Andrew said: “It’s the first time I’ve done the show in two halves and it worked really well.”

Andrew received hugely positive receptions for his performances at the Edinburgh Fringe, three national tours and a sell out Soho Theatre run of his show ‘Occult Comedian’.

Andrew, who will wear a skirt for part of his performance, has gathered a ferocious cult following thanks to his keen political style, and said: “I think transvestism is really interesting as most people do it in secret, whereas I say it’s just me, deal with it. You see audience’s reactions change.”

For tickets, costing £8, call 01635 244246. Andrew is also performing at Firestation, Windsor on Thursday, November 25. Call 01753 866865
