ONE of the biggest names in circus entertainment is bringing his show to Reading this week.

Gerry Cottle stopped touring with his circus 15 years ago, but this year it returns brighter and better than ever under a 2,000-seat big top. Gerry said: "It will be a very lively, upbeat show and it will be hard work.

"Circus has been around for a long time, nearly 250 years, and people still want a good circus. It's great value family entertainment."

Look out for the Russian Bugrovi sisters (pictured) on the Rola-rola - a deceptively dangerous balancing board - the gymnastic Terskyy brothers from Ukraine, springboard acrobats from Hungary, an aerialiste, a Mongolian trapeze star and of course circus clowns.

Daily from tomorrow (Tuesday) until Sunday, March 28 at Hill's Meadow, Caversham. On-site box office open 10am-8pm or call 0844 415 5228.
