Editor's choice: Little Red Riding Hood

The panto season is over. OH NO IT ISN'T!

Not if the Silchester Players have anything to do with it, anyway.

Each year the theatre company puts on a post-season pantomime full of singing, dancing and merriment to warm the cockles which have been shivering and depressed all January.

This time the production is Little Red Riding Hood by Paul Reakes.

In the idyllic country of Pantovia, Rosie's birthday is spoilt when the Evil Count De Cash has plans to drag her off to his palace.

But who is the handsome stranger who arrives to rescue her? And what can be done about the cunning wolf roaming the dark woods?

Break with tradition and yell, hiss and boo those blues away at Silchester Village Hall.

Performances are on Friday, January 29 at 7.30pm; Saturday, January 30 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm; on Friday, February 5 at 7.30pm; and Saturday, February 6 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

Tickets are £7 for adults and £5 for concessions. Call Beryl Oliver on 0118 981 5600 to book.
