Revere on Friday night

VIOLIN, cello, keys, trumpet, harp and guitar - Revere have it all.

And Glasswerk are bringing this awe-inspiring band to Reading's Plug N Play tomorrow night.

They touch on numerous musical reference points, combining elements of gypsy marches, klezmer, post rock, film scores and gospel resulting in a truly unique sound.

Glasswerk's Tom Manning said: "Revere combine the fiery melodrama of Muse with the rousing chamber-pop of Arcade Fire. If that doesn't get your imagination going I don't know what would!"

The promotions outfit had a brilliant night at Plug N Play on October 30 with Everything Everything / Findo Gask / VICES / Johnny Arrow (see http://bit.ly/1qeYPo ). You might think they'd have trouble following that lineup but, somehow, they've done it.

Support comes from A Genuine Freakshow, Auto De Fe and Aubrey Dye.

A Genuine Freakshow are a 7-piece pop-infused post-rock cannonade with mass appeal. Songs born of their broad range of influences from Elbow and Radiohead to Mogwai and Explosions In The Sky are accompanied by lush

orchestral arrangements and the sincere falsetto vocals of Timothy Sutcliffe. This gives the music they create a blend of classic pop with unpredictable structures and epic climaxes reminiscent of Arcade Fire, Mew, and Sigur Ros.

They are preceded by the thoughtful, impassioned and often frantic progressive rock of Auto De Fe and the lovely acoustic guitar sounds of Aubrey Dye.
