AEROBIC performers at Bulmershe Gymnastics Club got their season off to a fantastic start at the Southern Region competition in Fareham.

One of the youngest gymnasts, Millie Burne, was delighted to win her first medal in the Foundation Category closed competition, achieving third.

Bobbie Hardy’s display in the National Development level won over the judges, and she was rewarded with the gold medal, with a score half a mark ahead of the other performers.

Eleven-year-old Taliyah Medford gave an outstanding display with one of the highest difficulty scores, earning herself the bronze medal in NAC (National Code) Group One.

Lastly in the NAC Group Two (age 15-17), the pair of Erin Watts and Alice Hadjiloucas won by almost a whole mark in their category.

In the FIG (International) categories, the squad competed superbly with medals awarded for individual, pair, trios and group routines.

British champion Olivia Goves, competing in the FIG Senior Individual category, won the trophy for highest FIG score of the competition with an impressive 19.300.

Bulmershe’s Holly Lowe was also presented with Southern Region Coach of the Year.
