Reading Wildcats 1sts failed to capitalise on home advantage as they were convincingly beaten 13-6 by Cambridge Eagles.
Wildcats’ hopes of a top-three finish are now slim ahead of a game against Walcountian Blues at John Madejski Academy on Saturday (2pm).
The 2nds travel to Epsom.
