DMITRY Khakhamov beat Daniel Moses 9-11 11-5 7-11 12-10 11-7 to give Kingfisher B a draw in their top-of-the-table Reading & District League Division One match against Our Lady of Peace A.
Maximums from Martin Gunn and Martin Adams kept Kingfisher A on course for the title as they won 7-3 at Our Lady of Peace B, while Tidmarsh A won 10-0 at Sonning Common & Peppard B with Duncan Groves, Anthony Baker and Barry Carter all getting hard-earned hat-tricks.
Kingfisher C scrambled to a 6-4 away win at YMCA thanks to trebles from Marco Essomba and Tony Reynolds.
In Division Two, Sagar Sawant and David Joyce both got trebles as Kingfisher G beat Sonning Common & Peppard C 9-1, Matt Stone collecting the one point for the Commoners. Ivor Hardman’s treble helped Kingfisher F to a 8-2 win at Tilehurst Methodists A, Nigel Rowland getting two good wins for the beaten side.
Sonning Common & Peppard D were thrashed 10-0 by Tidmarsh B, while Rowland and Peter Galea trebles kept Tilehurst Methodists A’s hopes of avoiding the drop as they won 9-1 at fellow strugglers Kingfisher E.
Jon Willis returned to form with a fine three-straight treble as Curzon Club A won 7-3 against Kingfisher E, Grant Wheatley getting a double for the losers.
In Division Three, Kingfisher H continued their promotion push with a 6–4 win over Milestone A thanks to a maximum from man-of-the-match Igor Sremac.
That result allowed Springfield A to move into third place, as they beat Kingfisher J 7–3 thanks mainly to Phil Burke’s three-straight maximum.
Tidmarsh C consolidated second with a 6-4 win over Kingfisher I, Lee Calcutt hitting another maximum.
Sonning Sports A contrived to lose 6-4 to two-man Tilehurst Methodists B, for whom John Virgo had a maximum.
Our Lady of Peace D had a comfortable 8–2 win over Tilehurst Methodists C with Dave Godfrey and David Holt both hitting trebles.
Despite a hat-trick from Geoff Johnson, Curzon Club B lost 6-4 at Tilehurst Methodists D in Division Four, while Our Lady of Peace E stunned second-placed Springfield B 7-3 with Binit Bhasker and Predeep Desh both gaining trebles.
A Zoltan Kelemen maximum earned Milestone B a 5-5 draw at Sonning Common & Peppard F, while Kingfisher K and Curzon Club C drew in a relegation tussle with John Walker getting a good treble for Curzon.
In Division Five, Sonning Sports B beat BBC Club 6-4, thanks to another maximum for Florin Dimofte.
Our Lady of Peace F took a further step towards the title with a 7-3 win over Sonning Common & Peppard G, thanks to trebles from both Simon Brookes and Andrew Adair.
Two-man Reading FC C lost 7-3 to Springfield C, but Reading FC B obliterated Milestone C 10-0 thanks to maximums from Paul Brown, Keith Greene and Joe Bull.
Despite another maximum for Clive Gold, Kingfisher L lost 6-4 to Sonning Common & Peppard H., and Tidmarsh E climbed to fourth with their 6-4 victory over Springfield D, for whom Stephen Leggett’s treble was not enough.
