MAXIMUMS from Daniel Moses and Krasimer Ivanov helped Reading & District League Division One leaders Our Lady of Peace A thrash Tidmarsh A 9-1, the former also landing a treble along with Ed Caliman and Ian Cole in a 10-0 drubbing of rock bottom Sonning Common & Peppard B.

Our Lady of Peace B beat Kingfisher C 6-4 with doubles from Harry Munro and Yonatan Slobodskoy, with the pair winning a tense doubles decider against Tony Reynolds and Steve Murgatroyd.

Martin Gunn and Mark Bank’s trebles helped Kingfisher A to an 8-2 win over Kingfisher D – Simon Vine and Rob Gladstone gaining consolation wins for the D team – while Sonning Common & Peppard A beat a two-man YMCA side 7-3.

Kingfisher F saw their Division Two promotion chances hit by a 6-4 home defeat to Sonning Common & Peppard D, Mark Jones’ five-set win against Roger Pritchard proving crucial.

Tidmarsh B and Sonning Common & Peppard E battled out a 5-5 draw, Niall McGrane’s treble and two from Malcolm Gregory giving the two-man SC&P E team a share of the spoils. Sagar Sawant, David Joyce and Steve Ng kept Kingfisher G on course for the title after a comprehensive 10-0 victory over Sonning Common & Peppard E.

Our Lady of Peace C and Pangbourne WMC A also drew 5-5, John Simmonds’ comfortable treble assisted by singles from Simon Hopkins and George White for Pangbourne while Chris and Dan West both won twice for OLOP.

Two-man Sonning Common & Peppard C claimed a shock 6-4 win over third-placed Curzon Club A thanks to Danny Dockree and Jon Abbott hat-tricks.

Leaders Pangbourne WMC B beat Milestone A 8-2 in their Division Three top-of-the-table clash, maximums for Ray Webb and Clive Taylor and a double for Leroy Wilson.

Tidmarsh C moved up into second with a convincing 9-1 win at bottom team Tilehurst Methodists C, Lee Calcutt and Simon Barter recording maximums.

Springfield A remain in fourth place after a narrow 6-4 success at Tilehurst Methodists B, Phil Burke with another maximum for the visitors, while Jes Eassom and John Virgo both hit doubles for Tilehurst.

Kingfisher H remain in the promotion hunt thanks to a 9-1 success over clubmates Kingfisher J – maximums for Willis Ma and Igor Sremac and a double for Peter Bennett. Sonning Sports A recorded a 6-4 win at Kingfisher I thanks to a Keith Machin treble and Bob Woodmansee contributing two wins. Eric Holmes hit a double in reply for the hosts.

In Division Four, Curzon Club B lost 8-2 to Tidmarsh D, for whom Andy Stevens won all three.

Curzon Club C fought out a 5-5 draw with Sonning Common & Peppard F as Terry Spice and John Walker for Curzon, and Eric Walker and Simon Blake for Sonning Common, all gained doubles.

Leaders Milestone B beat Tilehurst Methodists D 6-4 thanks to trebles from Sachin Mundra and Zoltan Kelemen, while Springfield B gained the first 10-0 win of the season by beating Kingfisher K, John Burke, Rob Wilkie and Simmons were the hat-trick men.

Despite a fine maximum from Jazz Dhillon, Reading FC A could only draw with Our Lady of Peace E.

A Paul Brown double and a double from Joe Brown gave Reading FC B a 6-4 success against Springfield D in Division Five.

Springfield C fared no better, eventually being beaten 7-3 by Tidmarsh E, for whom Bob Sunerton hit a treble and John Harland and Mike Bundy won two.

Sonning Common & Peppard G lost 7-3 to Kingfisher L, Ken Robb bagging a hat-trick for the victors.

Maximums from Mike Casserley and Gerry Bacon, allied to a Mike Bundy double, gave Sonning Common & Peppard H a 9-1 cruise against Tidmarsh E.

Springfield’s C and D teams drew 5-5, while Reading FC B crushed their C team clubmates 8-2.

Basement boys Milestone C won their first match of the season, beating the BBC Club 6-4, with John Evans recording another maximum and Tony Hayden a double.

Our Lady of Peace F downed Sonning Sports B 6-4, Simon Brookes picking up a treble for the victorious side.
