READING Wildcats were beaten 13-6 in their Flags semi-final against Hampstead on Saturday.
There was success for the 2nds, however, as they earned a first victory of the season in winning 12-3 at Oxford.
Reading started well – looking comfortable on the ball and positive in attack – and led 6-2 at half time, going on to score a further three goals in both the third and fourth quarters for a resounding triumph.
Nigel Greenhall took the goalscoring plaudits with a tally of five, while Phil Garthside snared a hat-trick and Tyler, Miles Lidbetter, Oliver Nash and Sandun Seneviratne completed the rout.
