PANGBOURNE College student Adam Collings had a stunning win at the Hawkstone International Motocross meeting recently.
The event attracted top international teams and 15-year-old Collings, from Newbury, competed in the youth MXY2 class on a 125cc machine against riders up to 18-years-old on 125cc and 250cc bikes.
He qualified in pole position and took two race wins for the overall class title, proving the outstanding rider in the class.
Collings commented: “It was fairly hard on the 125, especially in some of the boggy bits where the 250 riders could just open the throttle and use their extra power to get away, but as long as I kept my corner speed up it was all right.
“It’s been great racing against the 250s. though, I enjoy the competition.”
