READING HC will be hoping Georgina Bathurst can continue her goal-scoring exploits in the indoor league which resumes this weekend.
Blues are fifth at the half-way stage of the competition, but need a top-four finish to qualify for the Super Sixes semi-finals at Wembley Arena on January 29.
To achieve that, they will probably need to win three of their remaining four matches and so will be looking for more goals from 19-year-old Bathurst, who is currently the league’s joint highest scorer with seven.
Reading play Holcombe and Canterbury on Saturday, followed by University of Birmingham and East Grinstead on Sunday, with all matches taking place in Telford. The Sonning Lane club are also fifth in the men’s indoor league and so will have to improve on their current record if they are to reach Wembley.
Blues travel to Birmingham University to play Wimbledon and Canterbury on Saturday, while Sunday’s opponents are Sevenoaks and East Grinstead
