Division One

A GARY Morgan treble plus wins from Jason Roberts and Joe Barraclough saw Sonning Common & Peppard A win 6-4 at Kingfisher C.

Roberts beat Stuart Williams 10-12, 8-11, 11-7, 11-9, 14-12 while Barraclough defeated Williams in five games 7-11, 11-8, 11-5, 9-11, 11-9.

Maximums from Eduard Caliman, Ian Cole and Krasimer Ivanov saw Our Lady of Peace A beat Kingfisher D 10-0 while Kingfisher B were 7-3 winners at Tidmarsh A despite a victory for Sam Ricks over Hari Gehlot.

Danny Moses returned to action for Our Lady of Peace A and his maximum alongside that of Ivanov saw them win their inter-club derby against Our Lady of Peace B 8-2.

Calin Scacia and Rob Gladstone both earned maximums as Kingfisher D beat bottom side Sonning Common & Peppard B. Jeremy Willis and Brian Meheux had wins over Trevor Organ for Sonning.

Division Two

DOM Cutter scored another impressive treble for Tidmarsh B but it was not enough to avoid a 6-4 defeat for his side.

Nick Lean and John Willcocks both won twice as Curzon Club A returned home with both points.

A Niall McGrane treble plus singles from Lisa Williams and Carole Chard saw Sonning Common & Peppard E defeat Tilehurst Methodists A 6-4.

John Morris, Grant Wheatley and Roger Woolven-Allen all contributed as Kingfisher E beat Pangbourne WMC A 6-4. Morris won the opening contest against Denise Weller.

Division Three

TWO points separate the top six teams as Kingfisher I lead the way on sets difference from Tidmarsh C and Springfield A.

Maximums for Eric Holmes and Steve Woolnough plus a double from Carol Byers gave Kingfisher I a 9-1 win over Tilehurst Methodists C. Martin Wetherell saved them from the whitewash with a win against Byers.

Tidmarsh C won 8-2 at Kingfisher J as Simon Barter lead the way with a treble, supported by Chris Webb and Lee Calcutt with two apiece. However, Calcutt lost for the first time this season to Nils Wedi, who also defeated Webb.

Springfield A won 8-2 against Pangbourne WMC B. Phil Burke retained the only 100 per cent record, making it five maximums in a row.

Rob Wilkie showed that his impressive form is no fluke with two wins for Springfield. He also took Ray Webb to five games before losing in the fifth.

Adam Sheen contributed two singles wins and teamed up with Burke for a straight games doubles success.

Milestone A moved up to fifth with a 7-3 win against Sonning Sports A. Arun Rajagopal, with a treble, and Chris Collins, with two, were the key men though Olly Bonser played his part with a win over Dave Chard.

Keith Machin was the only Sonning player to impress with two singles wins and only losing to Rajagopal.

Tilehurst Methodists B squeezed past Our Lady of Peace D 6-4. Jes Eassom was the star with his first maximum, whilst Nick Barnes continued his comeback after surgery with a double.

For the losing team, Ali Richardson had two wins and teamed up with Wendy Porter for a doubles success.

Division Four

SPRINGFIELD B won 6-4 against Tidmarsh D as John Burke beat Dave Edwards to complete his double.

Aidan Simmons also won two. Trebles from Zoltan Kelemen and Sanket Dave gave Milestone B a 6–4 win over Our Lady of Peace E, while injury to Jazz Dhillon marred Reading FC A’s 6–4 win over Tilehurst Methodists E. Dhillon still won two, as did Mark Edwards and Richard Witt.

Chris Taylor hit a three straight maximum to help Tilehurst Methodists D beat Kingfisher K 6–4.

Division Five

OUR Lady of Peace F proved their title credentials with a 10-0 victory over leaders Springfield D with maximums for Laurence de Ste Croix, Simon Brookes and Andrew Adair.

There were close games but nothing to compare with Adair’s win over Colin Jones.

There was intra-club rivalry at Sonning Common & Peppard, where the H team beat the G team 7-3, thanks to Mike Casserley’s treble, a Julian James double and a single from Gerry Bacon.

For the G team, Mikey Legg, Jamie Legg and Marko Madzar each won one.

Kingfisher L were edged out 6-4 by Reading FC C. Kingfisher’s Clive Gold returned a maximum, while Gill Bennett and Derek Crombie each chipped in with singles.

For Reading, Derek Anderson won two, while Wayne Alleyne and Harry Edwards each won one.

There was a close fought match between Sonning Sports B and Reading FC B with Sonning running out 6-4 victors thanks to a treble from Florin Dimofte, and a double by Sally James.
