Maiden Erlegh BC defeated Maidenhead Town 3-1 in the final of the Berkshire County Ladies Top Club competition.

Judy Bacon got them off to a good start by winning the singles 21-14 against Kim Eales.

Maidenhead drew level with Helen Cutche, Sue Ford and Sue Allaway taking the triples by a 16-11 margin against Kay Warner, Elaine Stobo and Jeanette Rollison.

Maiden Erlegh regained the overall lead by winning the pairs courtesy of Cathy Edwards and Mary Parkinson's 21-16 defeat of Yoneko Stuart and Mary Mackay.

The Maidens sealed victory in the fours with Val Parnell, Sue Eckett, Babs Hughesden and Anne Jones defeating Kathleen Leonard, Patricia Tripp, Kathie Wells and Carol Van-Noorden 23-13.

Berkshire Ladies Outdoor Association defeated the indoor association 110-100.

It was a close game with both sides winning on three rinks.

Top rink for the Outdoors was skipped by president Gillian Chamberlain with Jas Edwards, Sue Goodchild and Maggie Scrace up by 13 shots.

The Indoors team's best performance came from skip Mary Parkinson, Eileen Devonald-Batt, Joyce Pennock and Pat Fowkes who finished 10 shots up.
