READING Town halted their six-match winless run and eased their relegation worries with a 2-1 win at Shrivenham on Wednesday evening.

Town had won just once in their last 17 Hellenic Premier Division outings prior to the trip to Swindon but Danny Seaward scored a first-half brace to garner a vital three points for his team.

The win lifts Reading up into 15th in the table, seven points ahead of Carterton in the final relegation spot and with a game in hand.

Up next for Town is a home clash on Saturday (3pm ko) against the side they leapfrogged with victory over Shrivenham - Wootton Bassett.
