So disappointment for Irish, who were in the game until the final quarter when Bath pulled away and ran out comfortable winners in the end. Irish face a tough trip to Harlequins next Saturday.

80 mins - TRY! Bath bag the bonus-point try with the last move of the match and it's former Exile Garvey who gets it! The conversion from Ford makes the FINAL SCORE 44-23.

78 mins - Irish captain Skivington goes into the sin bin.

77 mins - TRY! Irish close the gap as Hala'ufia charges through from close range under the posts and Humphreys converts, but surely too little too late.

76 mins - Irish bring on Ed Hoadley for Allinson at scrum-half.

75 mins - High kick into the Bath in-goal area but Rokoduguni does well to claim it. Anyway we are going back for a penalty to Irish on the right, which they kick into touch.

73 mins - Irish still looking to close the gap but they can't get through the Bath defence. Yarde is off for Fenby.

70 mins - Change for Irish as Hagan is replaced by Halavatau. Bath have a scrum on the Irish five-metre line.

68 mins - TRY! This could be game over as Bath add another try. Again Watson is involved as he races away and Bath recycle the ball for Wilson to go over from close range. Ford's conversion makes it 37-16.

65 mins - More changes for Irish as Humphreys and Hala'ufia come on for Geraghty and Rouse.

64 mins - Irish with the ball in their own 22 but not going anywhere as Bath pin them back. Eventually they kick long and a mistake from Watson, a kick straight into touch, gives Irish the lineout. Paice off for Stevens for the hosts.

61 mins - Ford's penalty is good and Bath now lead 30-16. Change for Irish as Parr comes off for Yapp.

59 mins - Penalty to Bath midway inside the Irish half, the visitors starting to get on top now.

57 mins - TRY! Watson scores for Bath! But we are going back to the TMO to check if there was a player blocking an Irish tackle as Abendanon ran through...but the referee awards the try! Ford adds the extras and Bath now lead 27-16.

55 mins - Geraghty takes over penalty kicking duties and cuts the deficit to 20-16.

53 mins - Irish now pushing for the line but Bath holding firm five minutes out.

52 mins - Great passage of play! First Bath so nearly score on the left as a kick is chipped out wide but O'Connor makes an excellent saving tackle. Irish then nick the ball and go downfield, where Eastmond knocks on a simple pass to give Irish a scrum on the 22.

50 mins - Ford's penalty is good and Bath lead 20-13.

49 mins - Good run from former Exile Garvey and the hosts are penalised for coming at the side. The penalty is 40 metres out, dead centre.

48 mins - Another penalty to Bath, this one they boot into the corner, but Irish steal the lineout and clear their lines. Just been handed the attendance, which is 22,361, not quite the highest on St Patrick's Day but close.

46 mins - Excellent move from Bath as they work the ball left and then Watson sees some space and darts through the line. He races away to the 22 before he is hauled down, but Irish are then penalised and Ford dissects the uprights to make it 17-13.

43 mins - Some good possession from Irish but then a pass goes astray and they are forced back 20 metres. Eventually they are penalised and Bath have a scrum. Good defence from the visitors.

41 mins - Early penalty to Irish and a great kick from Geraghty to win the lineout on the Bath 22. He was nearly on his own 22 when he put that kick up.

Teams back out, and Bath get us underway...

40 mins - And Bath will have the chance to go in ahead as they are awarded a penalty on the 22...Ford's kick is good and Bath go in 14-13 ahead at HALF-TIME.

39 mins - Penalty to Bath on halfway and Ford kicks into touch on the 22.

36 mins - Penalty straight from the restart as Abendanon drops the ball forward, O'Connor's kick is good and Irish lead 13-11.

34 mins - TRY! Wow, Bath hit back straight away! Superb turn of pace from Eastmond as he collects an inside pass and then races clear and scores in the corner. Ford's conversion drifts wide so the visitors lead 11-10.

30 mins - TRY! Irish eventually break through! It was a great run by Geraghty to set it up, he was dragged down just short but then Ojo picked up and went over from close range. O'Connor converts to make it 10-6.

27 mins - Ford's kick is good and Bath lead 6-3.

25 mins - Bath penalised at the scrum again and Irish clear into touch midway inside their own half. Atmosphere is bubbling, but Irish are then penalised for coming in at the side and Ford will go for the posts from the 22 and 10 metres to the right.

24 mins - Parr back on for Irish but the hosts drop the restart forward to give Bath a scrum about 10 metres out.

23 mins - This time it is good, and we are level at 3-3.

20 mins - Bath have a scrum on their 22 but they are penalised and O'Connor will go for the posts again, almost the same position as last time, just a few metres to the left of the uprights.

18 mins - Penalty to Bath almost in front of the posts and Ford makes no mistake, 3-0 to the visitors.

17 mins - First spell of pressure from Bath as Watson nearly breaks the line, but Irish are holding on.

14 mins - But the yellow doesn't slow Irish down and they think they have a try when Ojo bursts through the middle, but the whistle had already gone. The foul was against Irish so Bath have a scrum midway inside their half. Early change for Irish as well as Yapp is on for Treviranus.

12 mins - Great carry from Paice and then Yarde hits the line hard, another good spell of possession from Irish but they then lose the ball and Par is YELLOW CARDED for dragging back a Bath player as he tried to escape.

10 mins - Bath haven't really settled into the game yet as Ford kicks out on the full from his own 22, not a good kick.

7 mins - But it's a horrible kick from O'Connor from the 22, very high and it drifts wide of the posts. Let off for Bath, who have now won a penalty of their own on halfway and they boot that into touch on the Irish 22.

5 mins - And again Irish turn down a penalty and go for the corner, but now they get a third and O'Connor will go for the posts.

3 mins - Positive intent from Irish as they win a penalty about 30 metres out but opt to kick it into the corner.

2 mins - Good spell of possession from Irish to start but they can't make much ground and eventually they are penalised about 10 metres inside the Bath half and the visitors have a scrum.

Here we go, Irish in their green St Patrick's Day kit and Bath in blue, black and white stripes. Guard of honour for Declan Danaher, who announced his retirement this week, how Irish would love to win this for him. Geraghty gets us underway...

Just 10 minutes to go until kick-off, the stadium is filling up nicely and Irish will be hopeful of breaking their record St Patrick's Day Party attendance of 22,648.

They will also be hopeful of exacting some revenge for their 33-18 defeat at The Rec earlier in the season, when Bath claimed a four-try bonus point within 34 minutes.

It's a lovely evening in Reading, just a few clouds in an otherwise blue sky, and it should be a cracking game of rugby.

Green wigs? Big hats? Irish dancing? Guinness?

It can only mean one thing: it's the St Patrick's Day Party.

And to add extra spice to the party this year, Irish have invited a few old friends.

The visitors Bath include former Exiles Matt Garvey and Anthony Watson in their starting line-up while Toby Booth and Neal Hatley are both amongst the coaching staff.

Over 20,000 fans are expected to cheer on Exiles as they look to get their Aviva Premiership campaign back on track following successive defeats.

The good news for the hosts is that both Jamie Hagan and Fergus Mulchrone are fit to start.

George Skivington captains the side while Marland Yarde, Topsy Ojo and James O’Connor are named in the back three.
