JONATHAN Fisher has signed a two-year deal with London Irish after returning from a loan spell with Championship side Bedford Blues.
Fisher, 23, is able to play at lock, flanker or number eight, and made 19 appearances during his first spell with Exiles after joining the academy in 2005.
He also represented England in the Under 19 World Championships 2007 before going on to secure a starting spot at blindside flanker for the England U20 side in all five games of the 2008 Six Nations Grand Slam campaign.
Speaking about returning to Sunbury, he said: "I am thrilled to be joining London Irish again. The club has played a huge role in my rugby development over the last seven years and I want to return and repay that faith.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my season at Bedford Blues and would like to thank the club and its supporters for everything they have done for me over the last season. However, the chance to move back to London Irish was too difficult to turn down and I am delighted to be returning."
London Irish director of rugby, Brian Smith added: "Jon is a player I have worked with before and he possesses a huge amount of potential which has been on show throughout the last season at Bedford Blues. He deserves the chance to be back and I know he will continue to work as hard as ever."
