IT WAS third time lucky for Redingensians at the weekend as they enjoyed a bonus-point 42-8 victory over Weston-Super-Mare in National Three South West.
Gensians had seen their previous two games abandoned due to injuries but on this occasion the game was completed, much to the delight of the home crowd.
While the promotion-chasing Rams were far from their best, they had too much for the visitors and led 21-5 at the break before going on to extend their advantage in the second half.
Meanwhile, Reading RFC took the bragging rights in South West One East after a 36-25 win over rivals Reading Abbey.
The first half was a tight affair that ended 19-15 to Reading and with Jordan Gomez completing his hat-trick in the second period, the hosts emerged victorious.
