Nicola Eames with England Women head coach Gary Street
READING girls coach Nicola Eames capped a perfect weekend for her side by being given a prestigious national award by the RFU.
Eamsie, as she is known at the Holme Park club, was awarded the RFUW Sue Garnett Volunteer of the year award for her tireless work on and off the field with the girls u15s, u18s and ladies sides.
She was nominated by the parents at the club and received the award from England Ladies coach Gary Street on Saturday.
The award winner said: "I am just very surprised and also very flattered that I was put forward for it by the parents. Thanks to the other coaches David Edwards and David Allen and my support at home from Nick and Ollie."
RFUW Managing Director Rosie Williams added:"It's wonderful that we are able to recognise the achievements of such a dedicated volunteer.
"Nicola has worked so hard to share the ethos of the game and ensure that girls have a positive role model in the game."
