REDINGENSIANS Rams ended the greatest season in their history with a champagne performance, dismantling neighbours Henley 51-0 and scoring a try-of-the-season contender through Stevie Bryant.

In front of a large crowd of 589, Rams put their opponents to the sword, leaving head coach Seb Reynolds ecstatic.

He said: “I thought it was a cracking game of rugby, one of those games you get just a few times in a career when all the elements you’ve been working on come together.

"The defence was outstanding and conceding no points is as good a success as scoring 50.”

He continued: “Obviously our attack was excellent as well and three of our tries were some of the best I’ve seen all season.

“Finally, I’d just like to say congratulations to Dave Clements their captain who played his last game, whose had a brilliant career for Henley and I wish him all the best in his retirement."

Rams began their afternoon in typically brutal fashion powering to the whitewash off the top of a line-out, Ben Henderson touching down in just the second minute.

An Adrian Jarvis penalty extended the lead early in the second quarter, before wing Conor Corrigan scored in the corner following a mazy run. Jarvis converted and with Miles Lloyd going over shortly before the break, Redingensians led 22-0.

Youngster Ellis Jones crossed for a converted score two minutes into the second half and Rams ran in their fifth try through Tom Vooght.

An unbelievable score on 65 minutes arrived as Rams turned the ball over inside their own 22, then went the length of the field through a series of slick off-loads before Bryant went over.

Jarvis converted before Jones grabbed a quick-fire double for his hat-trick, the game being halted early after a serious injury to a Henley player.
