WHITEKNIGHTS Football Club ran a hugely successful tournament at the weekend which witnessed plenty of drama.

Over 220 teams took part across the two-day tournament for boys and girls at Reading Abbey RFC's Emmer Green.

Tournament organiser Phil Marsh commented: "WhiteKnights Football Club thanks all the organisers, supporters, parents, teams and players that participated in the Festival for their contribution in making such a great event possible.

"And a special thank you to Reading Abbey RFC for the use of their facilities and Stephen Smith, who with his crew of referees kept the matches flowing.

"A great team effort to deliver an exceedingly good weekend of football and fun!"

He added: "We were grateful for the support of the Berks & Bucks County Football Association and Danielle Buet (England & Chelsea)."
