GRZEGORZ Rasiak dedicated Reading's victory at Coventry City to their loyal fans.
Rasiak netted a brace in Saturday's 3-1 win while man-of-the-match Jobi McAnuff scored the other at Ricoh Arena to lift Royals out of the bottom three.
And Rasiak paid tribute to the near 700 supporters who made the tip to the Midlands despite the team's poor start to the season.
"I'm delighted for the fans who travelled up," declared the Polish striker. "We had lost four games in a row but they still supported us very well. They deserved the victory and this one was for them.
"After four defeats it's so nice to win. We played well against Leicester but came away with nothing but this time we scored three good goals and I was so pleased go get a couple of goals myself.
"I'm just delighted but the most important thing was to get three points because the table looks much better now.
"Now we hope to end our bad record at home next weekend and we will be ready for Ipswich."
Rasiak gave Royals a dream start when he headed home after just 30 seconds from McAnuff's cross.
McAnuff doubled the visitors' lead on 54 minutes only for Sky Blues striker Freddy Eastwood to pull one back 10 minutes later.
But instead of folding as they have done in the past, Royals shifted up a gear and Rasiak struck the all-important third in the 72nd minute after McAnuff's shot hit the post.
And Rasiak, 30, beamed: "I remember scoring in the Polish league in the second minute but this one was even quicker. It was a great start and I thought we deserved the three points.
"We probably created more chances against Leicester but didn't score, yet we got three goals today. Football is funny like that."
Rasiak has now scored three goals in five starts since a £300,000 move from Southampton in the summer.
He hopes that sort of form could see him add to his 37 caps and eight goals for Poland following years in the international wilderness.
"Poland has a new manager now," he explained. "Over the next two years we mainly have just friendly games before we build towards Euro 2012.
"So hopefully if I am playing well I will get a call. But the most important thing for me is to keep going and play well for Reading."
And he also revealed he has a running bet with boss Brendan Rodgers.
"My target is to play the best I can for Reading," he stated. "The most important thing is to see Reading climb higher up the table.
"I do have some targets and I've got a bet with the manager for who buys dinner, so hopefully I can reach my target.
"But I don't want to say too much. If I achieve it I will tell you."
