Chronicle-sponsored Reading FC Player of the Season 2011/12, supported by STAR

BRIAN McDermott is urging loyal Royals to vote for their star performer in the club's official, Chronicle-sponsored Player of the Season 2011/12 Awards.

It's time to choose your favourite player of the current campaign as Reading prepare to make one final push for promotion to the Premier League.

And, once again, the Chronicle continues its long association with the awards as the official sponsor.

McDermott said: "There are a number of players in our dressing room who must be in with a shout.

"I'm sure everyone has a view and most will be different. That's a real testimony to this team, and what this group of players are all about.

"I would definitely urge Chronicle readers to vote."

Make sure your favourite player gets the votes he needs to win the coveted award - and you could be a winner too.

All votes will be placed into a draw. Prizes for over 18s include a signed Reading FC shirt, a year's supply of Fosters and a John Lewis Spring Temptation Hamper.

Young Royals under 18 years of age can also win a Reading FC shirt and matchball signed by the whole squad and a John Lewis sweet hamper.

Kindhearted Supporters Trust at Reading (STAR) members will also be handing voting slips out at the Madejski Stadium before the Royals take on Leeds United tomorrow.

They will also be handing out forms near Broad Street Mall, Reading town centre on the morning of the game.

Fans can also vote via the Chronicle website and the Reading FC website.

The Player of the Season presentation will take place before Reading's final home game against Crystal Palace on Saturday, April 21.

The closing date for online votes is Saturday, April 14.

So make sure you register your vote now!
