READING made it nine wins in 12 Championship games with a comfortable 2-0 win over Coventry City at Madejski Stadium.
A much-changed Royals took the lead on 25 minutes when a cross from fit-again winger JIMMY KEBE evadeded everyone and nestled in the far corner.
The hosts doubled their lead two minutes before the break when debutant Matt Connolly's header flicked off JASON ROBERTS and went in.
Coventry fought back after the interval but found Royals keeper Adam Federici in sensational form.
The Aussie made three outstanding saves to keep Reading's noses in front and preserve another clean sheet.
Reading are back in action on Tuesday night when they travel to Derby County (7.45pm ko).
