Hal Robson-Kanu
HAL Robson Kanu banged in a first-half hat-trick as Reading got their preseason tour to Sweden off to a perfect start with an 8-0 win over Jonsereds IF.
The 20-year-old who spent last year on loan at Swindon was the star of the show as Brendan Rodgers' side ran riot in their new 4-3-3 formation.
Fellow products of the Royals academy Simon Church and Scott Davies added two goals each, while skipper for the day Brynjar Gunnarsson completed the scoring with a late header.
Robson-Kanu put Rodgers' side in front in the second minute before doubling the lead ten minutes later.
Church and Davies then got in on the act to put the Royals 4-0 up on 18 minutes, before Robson-Kanu completed his hat-trick on the half-hour mark.
The score stayed at 5-0 until the final 20 minutes when Church and Davies both scored again, before Gunnarsson nodded in with nine minutes to play.
The Royals continue their Swedish tour tomorrow (Saturday) against Kungsbacka before taking on Saro next Tuesday.
