Reading FC fans have until later today to complete the ‘Stand up for Choice’ survey and have their say on the safe standing debate.

The EFL is calling for all football fans to have their say now before the deadline closes.

So far, thousands of supporters from across the Football League have got behind the campaign to add to the ongoing debate over safe standing areas in stadiums.

It comes after West Bromwich Albion became the first EFL club to have a formal application for safe standing rejected by the government in April.

The campaign which is being headed jointly by the EFL and the Football Supporter’s Federation aims to create an informed debate about safe standing in football, with a view to implementing changes in stadium seating arrangements.

With over 110,000 signatures so far, a Westminster Hall debate will be held on June 25, giving supporters of all 72 EFL Clubs a chance to have their voice heard in one of football’s most wide-spread discussions.

The data collected from the survey will be presented to the government to provide supporting data for making a final decision on whether any changes will be made to seating or not.
