NEIL Warnock backed Reading FC to retain their Championship status ahead of Royals' clash with his promotion-chasing Cardiff City on Sunday.
The Bluebirds boss can earn his eighth promotion as a manager with a win over confidence-bereft Royals at Cardiff City Stadium.
Reading need to earn themselves a point against Warnock's side to mathematically cement their place in the second-tier.
If Paul Clement’s men suffer defeat in South Wales they will be relying on the results of Birmingham City, Barnsley and Burton Albion to save them from the drop into League One.
And Warnock stated Royals will have their eyes fixed on the other fixtures, but said they are unlikely to face the drop.
He told Welsh media: "If anyone says they don't have someone watching the other matches they are telling porkies, and that will be the same for Reading.
"It's highly unlikely they will go down but they will be looking at the Barnsely, Burton and Birmingham results. And the fans will let you know with the oos and ahs aorund the ground."
