UNDER pressure Reading FC boss Jaap Stam is keen to get his side back to winning ways when they travel to Oakwell tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon.

Royals face lowly Barnsley FC following a run of three straight defeats and four championship games without a victory.

Manager Stam, 45, has found himself under constant pressure this season after a lacklustre start to the campaign.

Reading find themselves sat in 17th position in the Championship table after 24 games played.

Stam has been handed a major fitness boost recently with the likes of John Swift, George Evans and Garath McCleary all returning to first-team action.

Callum Harriott and Stephen Quinn however are among several players who remain out of contention with various injuries.

Paul Heckingbottham's Tykes go into the fixture in 20th place, three places below the Royals, and without a win in nine league games.

Reading won 3-0 in the reverse fixture at Madejski Stadium back in November through goals from Dave Edwards, Joey van den Berg and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson. All three are expected to feature at Oakwell.

Royals also face Birmingham City at Madejski Stadium on Tuesday night before travelling to Stevenage next weekend in the FA Cup.
