LEANDRO Bacuna admitted there is work to be done on Reading FC’s tactics ahead of two tough clashes away from home.

Reading travel to Elland Road to face Leeds United tomorrow (3pm) before another trip to Yorkshire against Sheffield United a week later.

Jaap Stam’s men are without a win in five Championship games and have lost their last two, most recently lost to Norwich City following a lacklustre performance at Madejski Stadium before the international break.

And summer signing Bacuna believed Royals must quickly iron out their problems on the training ground if they are pick up any points from their next two fixtures.

“We need to stick together,” stressed Bacuna, who scored a wonder goal for national side Curacao against Qatar during the international break.

“We’re all going to be working hard to get our tactics right.

“It’s two very tough games so we need to make sure we can get some points. I don’t think we’re doing anything wrong, we are working hard and we are creating chances.

“But, simply put, if you don’t score goals then you don’t win.”

However, Bacuna also suggested Royals are only one win away from getting back to their best and urged his team-mates to kick-start their season on Saturday afternoon.

“I think we just need to get a win and then everything will be fine,” said the 26-year-old former Aston Villa star.

Meanwhile, Jaap Stam is facing a number of selection issue with several first-team players unavailable through injury.

Stam is also rocking from the news that left-back Jordan Obita has been ruled out for the rest of the season following reconstructive knee surgery this week.

That means 19-year-old Omar Richards is likely to take his place in the clash at Elland Road.

And Stam backed the Academy product to handle the pressure on his first league start for Royals.

“He was in the pre-season squad and is a very promising player," stated Stam.

"He has good attacking qualities and good left foot. He’s strong on the ball and has pace. He needs to improve in certain areas but it’s a big opportunity for him.”
