READING FC Women have completed the signing of New Zealand international Anna Green on a full-time contract until June 2018.

The full back has played more than 60 times for her country, scoring seven goals.

Welsh internationals Melissa Fletcher and Charlie Escourt have also signed deals with the club for the same length of time.

In another boost for Royals, 24-year-old Becky Jane has extended her contract by another 18 months.

The defender's current deal was due to expire in December and her extension now equals the longest contract ever agreed by the club after Lauren Bruton signed similar terms last week.

Jane was named Fans' Player of the Year last season and she said: “I’m delighted to have signed with the club until 2019.

“I have been here for five-and-a-half years and I'm so proud of how far the club has come in such a short space of time.”

Reading FC Women manager Kelly Chambers added: "I’m delighted that Becks has extended her contract with us.

“As we saw last season she is a key player for us and always performs consistently well.

“Becks has only been a full back for three years but has stepped into the role very well.

“There is still so much more to come from Becks as she develops even further and I am looking forward to supporting her development and pushing her to fulfil her potential.”

Meanwhile, Reading will play all of their Spring Series home fixtures in the space of 25 days at Adams Park.

Royals start the season at newly-promoted Bristol City on Saturday, April 22, before visiting Liverpool six days later.

Reading’s home games are against Chelsea (Wednesday, May 3), Manchester City (Sunday, May 7), Notts County (May 21), Birmingham City (May 28).
