JAAP Stam will meet Reading FC fans before the Under 23s Premier League International Cup clash against German outfit Hertha Berlin at Madejski Stadium next Wednesday.

Royals boss will be available to sign autographs and pose for pictures with supporters in the Megastore from 6.15pm-6.45pm ahead of the 7pm kick off.

Royals have already been knocked out of the competition but will be looking to end their group campaign on a high note.

Entry to the match is free.

Super Smith sinks Stoke City

A YOUNG Reading U23s secured an impressive 1-0 win against Stoke City on Saturday to go top of their Premier League Cup group.

Sam Smith scored the only goal for Martin Kuhl’s side to clinch all three points.

The average age of the players in the 16-man squad was a mere 18 years and 129 days.

U18s riding high in table

READING U18s go into the winter break in second place in the Under 18 Premier League South thanks to a 2-1 win against Leicester City last weekend.

David Dodds’ youngsters got off to a perfect start when Joel Rollinson intercepted a pass before firing his side in front in the second minute.

Cameron Green doubled Royals’ lead midway through the second half before Chris Elliott netted a consolation for the Foxes.
