THREE Reading Sunday League teams secured their place in the quarter-finals of the Berks & Bucks Sunday Intermediate Cup last weekend.

None were more impressive than Senior Division leaders Dee Road Rangers, who crushed FC Meta 9-0.

Reading Irish beat Purley 4-3 on penalties after a thriller of a game had ended 4-4.

Spot-kicks were also required by Tilehurst YM, who outscored FC Bentons 3-1 after sharing four goals in 90 minutes.

But Richfield Rovers’ cup run came to an end with a 2-1 defeat at FC Fernhill, while Barton Rovers were sadly forced to concede their tie to Finchampstead Athletic.

All three Reading sides have been kept apart in the quarter-final draw. The pairings are: Aylesbury Flooring v Dee Road, Reading Irish v Real Milan, Tilehurst YM v FC Fernhill, Windsor York Club v Finchampstead Athletic. Ties to be played on January 22.

Dee Road stay top of the table as Tilehurst Club missed the chance to go above them when they crashed 14-0 to Reading YMCA. Third-placed Southcote drew 3-3 with Emmer Green.

In the Tilehurst Charity Cup, Mortimer defeated Burghfield 3-1, while Woodley Wanderers hammered Kidmore End/The Mod 5-2 and the two winners will meet in the quarter-finals at Mortimer on December 4.

The other pairings are Dee Road v Emmer Green, Richfield Rovers Res v AFC Pangbourne, Purley v Richfield Rovers or Southcote.

There was only game in the Premier Division, as AFC Pangbourne crushed bottom-club The County 7-1 to move up to fifth spot.

Division 1 leaders Le Galaxy extended their 100% record to eight games with a 9-3 demolition of Woodley United.

Eldon Celtic remain three points behind in second place following their 6-3 win over 116 Exiles.

Polonia Reading hammered Athletico Forest 7-0 and AFC Burghfield are fourth thanks to a 6-3 home victory against Spencers Wood.

FC Woodley beat Wokingham & Emmbrook 3-2 after extra time in the Industrial Cup and will travel to AFC Burghfield Res in the quarter-finals.

In Division 2, the top-of-the-table clash saw leaders Caversham AFC defeat previously unbeaten Falcon 3-1 to move four points clear.

Imaan triumphed 3-1 away to AFC Burghfield Reserves to secure their first league win of the season, but Arborfield are still seeking their first victory after losing 3-2 to Pangbourne & Basildon Barbarians.

Berkshire Rovers moved up to third in Division 3 East behind Reading United and Henley Town by demolishing 116 Exiles Res 9-1.

Coley Park edged home 4-3 against FC Berksalona and Park Villa got the better of Forest FC by a 4-1 margin.

AFC Basildon continue to set the pace in Division 3 West, making it seven games unbeaten with a 3-1 success against Southbank.

But Woolhampton CFC stayed three points behind them thanks to a 6-1 victory at Theale, and a 3-1 win over Tilehurst Titans sees Tilehurst Club A in third spot.

AFC Lowfield Green took their Division 4 East points tally to 22 from eight games by defeating Shinfield Rangers 5-1.

Three points behind come Twyford Comets, who leap-frogged Delta Vigo by defeating them 5-0.

Fox & Hounds moved up to fourth with 3-1 success away to South Reading.

In the John Lusted Cup, AFC Pangbourne Res smashed 10 goals past Caversham United without reply, while Englefield knocked out Borussia Teeth to the tune of 3-1. Both are through to the last eight.

Division 4 West leaders Southcote Colts inflicted an 8-4 reverse on Burghfield Res, while Barton Rovers Reserves went third with a 4-1 win over Calcot Reserves, who slip to fourth place.
