MATEJ Vydra revealed the reasons why he refused to celebrate his goal for Derby County on Saturday.
The ex-Reading FC striker fired Rams ahead only for George Evans to equalise late on.
Vydra endured a frustrating time on loan from Watford last season, scoring just three times in 34 league appearances.
However, the 24-year-old Czech Republic ace netted six goals in three FA Cup ties including a hat-trick against Huddersfield.
He said: “You know, I am happy for the goal, but I respect this club and that is why I didn’t celebrate.
"I could have scored a second to win the game, but Ali Al Habsi made a great save and then in the 90th minute Reading scored.
"We came to win and we were so close, so we’re a little disappointed.”
Derby broke their transfer record to sign Vydra from the Hornets for £10m in the summer.
He added: “I was very happy Derby bought me. That’s want I wanted because now I don’t have to worry about what will happen at the end of this season, I can just concentrate on Derby.”
