READING FC fans snapped up more than 4,000 tickets yesterday for the upcoming EFL fourth-round clash against Arsenal at the Emirates.

The club's initial allocation of 2,922 tickets went within three hours of going on sale.

As a result, Royals took up the option of another batch, taking their final allocation to 5,306 tickets.

It is expected all tickets, costing a mere £10 for adults and £5 for concessions, will eventually be sold before the end of the week.

Only season ticket holders can buy tickets for the clash on Tuesday, October 25 during the first two days (Monday and today) on a one-per-person basis.

From tomorrow, season ticket holders plus members with 500 or more points can purchase tickets and from Thursday they will become available to members with 100 or more points.

Reading FC will make an announcement on Friday regarding any remaining tickets.

Royals fans will be seated in the lower tier of the Clock End on the night.

Jaap Stam's men booked their place in the last 16 of the competition with wins against Plymouth, MK Dons and Brighton in the previous rounds.
