MORE than 300 players and guests attended the Reading FC Women Academy’s annual awards night at Madejski Stadium.

Every age group from Under 10s up to the first team squad were represented last Friday to honour the achievements of the club.

The U12s, U13s and U14s all won their respective leagues after another memorable campaign, and they could be joined by the U16s who are also closing in on the title.

There was further success from the club’s John Madejski Academy team who won the national schools cup.

Reading FC Women director of football and first-team manager, Kelly Chambers, said: “The club has made great progress over the last year and that is reflected in the great successes we have seen across all age groups.

“I’ve been so proud to see the progression of girls such as Zoe Cunningham and Georgia Hayes through our ranks all the way up to the first team.

“Any girl involved in our set up can look to these girls as examples of what can be achieved. I would like to thank all parents and volunteers who have contributed to the success of the club”.
