LADY Khunying Sasima Svrikorn says she is determined to guide Reading FC into the Premier League 'as soon as possible.'

Royals secured their first Championship win of the season on Saturday with a 3-1 victory at Brentford that leaves them 13th in the table and only two points off the play-off positions.

And co-chairperson Lady Sasima insisted: “We take a long term approach, but not on reaching the Premier League. We try get there as soon as possible and if we can do it this season we will.

“I don't want to wait too long for that, we want to go up immediately when we are ready.

“Then, when we get there, we want to stay in the Premeir League long term.”

Reading signed 11 new players over the summer and Lady Sasima added: I'm sure we can challenge for promotion this year. We have very good defenders and midfielder, we just needed to get the ball into the net.

“Now I hope the new players we have will help us do that, it's very exciting.”

“We want to go there and stay there. It's a big leap from where Reading is now as a club, but it's getting smaller.”
