Hello and welcome to live coverage of Reading v Espanyol.

FT - It ends 0-0 in a game that can barely be described as a friendly.

80' Ten minutes left here but no sign of either side breaking the deadlock.

67' Jordan Obita and Alvaro Gonzalez are sent off.

Not what you expect from a pre-season friendly but both sides will end with ten men after Jordan Obita and Alvaro Gonzalez are both sent to the stands.

Obita went into a challenge late in front of the Espanyol dugout and the bench took exception to it, with Anton Ferdinand protecting Obita from the ire of Gonzalez and several Espanyol players. Gonzalez then ended squaring up to Ferdinand and received his marching orders, along with Obita.

That certainly woke the crowd up.

60' Triple substitution for Reading as Ali Al-Habsi, Paul McShane and Simon Cox come on for Jonathan Bond, Michael Hector and Nick Blackman.

59' First shot on target and it's a Reading one. Tariqe Fosu finds Orlando Sa and his low, driven effort from 25 yards forces a fine save out of German Parreno.

46' We're back underway...

HT: Half-time here and it's been far from a classic with neither side yet to have a shot on target.

15:44: A great pass by Oliver Norwood releases Stephen Quinn down the left-hand side but his attempted pass to Orlando Sa is cut out. The Portuguese striker had a clear shot on goal if that pass had reached its target.

15:40: A glaring miss from Espanyol's Felipe Caicedo from eight yards out but fortunately for him, the offside flag was raised.

15:35: Still little in the way of action here. There has been a few bookings though - including one for Danny Williams - and there is an edge to the action.

15:25: A worying sign for Reading as Pavel Pogrebnyak heads straight down the tunnel following a kick to his ankle.

Orlando Sa replaces him.

15:22: Danny Williams has Reading's first shot but it trickles way wide. Stephen Quinn is making a good impression, he's going to be key for Reading this season.

15:20: Quiet opening 20 minutes here with barely a shot registered by either side.

15:00: Reading get us underway...

14:58: The teams are out

14:45: It's overcast and a bit cold here. Not exactly a warm summer's day. Both teams have just made their way back inside ahead of kick-off.

14:15: Both sides are out going through their warm-ups. We're expecting a crowd of around 7,000 today.

14:00: The teams are in and the big news is that Michael Hector captains the side.

Reading FC: Bond; Gunter, Hector, Ferdinand, Obita; Quinn, Tshibola, Norwood, Williams, Blackman; Pogrebnyak. Subs: Al-Habsi, McShane, Akpan, Taylor, Cox, Samuel, Fosu, Hyam, Sa.
